His eyes opened.
Last night he was up until 3 a.m., but it didn’t matter. The work was all that mattered. He had so much to prove.
“To whom?” you might rightfully ask. The answer to that was tough though. He actually had support behind him, even a few fans who were waiting with bated breath for his next artistic work. Haters gonna hate, and those people were always around, but even they weren’t enough to really motivate this level of output, of pure creativity.
In reality, he needed to prove to himself that he could do it. That the first time wasn’t a fluke. So, he put on his blinders, ignored everything in his way - positive or negative - and got down to the business at hand.
No one would tell him he wasn’t good enough, and he didn’t need anyone’s approval. No one would derail his expression.
It was fate. The work was all that mattered.
