“I want you to remember me”

It was 3 a.m. again when he realized he was caught in a loop. It had been months, or had it, since he started the work, but nothing was ever good enough. The muse had already passed, her voice doing nothing for him anymore.

And still… he worked. Without someone else to remind him, days turned to nights turns to weeks then to months. He didn’t know the date or the month or sometimes his own name.

His hands were tied. There was no other path to take.

What could be more important than what he was creating? This would be left behind when he was pulled into the ground. Legacy, memory, he refused to be a flash in the pan or a forgotten footnote in history.

People would know his name.

People would sing his song.

People would remember him.

I was alone now, but his legacy was in the making.

“One More for obscurity”

LISTEN NOW! “One More For Obscurity” is a haunting track about the constant push forward without the success that such hard work should be owed. You work and work and work, and what do you get in return? More work!

Lyrics

Every day is like the last
In and out, no future no past
Anything could happen now
And I wouldn’t even notice
My mind just wouldn’t allow it

The days are gone
There is no outside
The nights are cold
My hands are tied

But I’ll give you one more piece of me
Then maybe you’ll remember
There is still no peace
So I gotta stay in the center
The center

Every day is like the last
I was looking for a change... but alas
There is still hope for a difference
But not alone
I can’t do it without a friend

The days are long
And the nights are still cold

But I'll give you one more piece of me
Then maybe you’ll remember
There is still no peace
So I gotta stay in the center

I don’t want obscurity
I want you to remember me
I don’t want obscurity
I want you to remember me

There’s no outside
My hands are tied

But I’ll give you one more piece of me
Then maybe you’ll remember
But there's still no peace
So I gotta stay in the center
The center
The center
The center

WHERE IT BEGAN

This was the original take on “One More For Obscurity” when the guitars were harder and it hadn’t taken on it’s more ethereal feel quite yet. It’s a bit angrier, right?
